Once again, the Weekly Photo Challenge and Ailsa’s Travel Theme are in uncanny synergy—this week, the two themes are Future Tense and Time.
And here’s a photo that seems to me to symbolize these two themes. I know many of you have seen it before. But that was back in November. Time has passed, and what was then the Future has now most likely become the Present…
... has kayaked the waters around New York for over a decade in his red Feathercraft folding kayak. He comes originally from (the former) Czechoslovakia and has lived in the U.K. and California before settling down in New York. He is a neuroscientist at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City.
... is a kayaker and technology researcher at Nemertes Research. She's an erstwhile engineer, particle physicist, and science fiction writer. She was born in California and has lived in Italy, Norway, Hawaii, and a few other places. She currently resides in New York City.

I’ve seen this photo before, but I can never get tired of looking at it.
You really did an amazing job on this photo. She is beautiful and looking so peaceful and content.
Those were among the suggestions when I asked last time what future photo challenges this photo might fit… (I don’t think Future Tense or even Time came up.)
