This week’s Photo Challenge is Arranged: “… find something in your environment which was arranged by a human hand …”
Hmmm…. how about a human hand arranged?
Here are some more highly arranged tableaux:
OK, I think you can guess: Halloween decorations, last year in our neighborhood on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, where Halloween is taken very seriously…
More photos are here and here.

Yes… but as I see from your blog, you have plenty of things to make up for it in Sardinia!

Holy crap! That scared me. I would be very afraid to come out and play on Halloween in that neighborhood. Good shots.

Actually, for little kids Halloween play is very elaborately structured in this neighborhood…

not very often you can eat arms; I remember: once a friend, who could not talk English very well, asked the waitress: “Could we have someone to eat?”

A bit starteled you might say, yes. I did not expect anyone taking the words ‘human hands’ as literally :)

Well, as soon as I came across that photo this morning, I knew it was the perfect one for this challenge. It just shows how important it is to take a variety of photos—you never know when one of them will come in handy :-)

Scary, but I guess you could call them ‘arranged’ :-) Thanks for the pingback!

In real life, they are actually not all that scary, because they are so obviously carefully arranged…

Of course! I’ve forgotten how Halloween is the single best holiday for making static arrangements! Great shots!

I visited both east and west side Manhattan Hallowe’en displays last year – there was one particularly lifelike vampire hanging upside down from a windowsill. Definitely spooky!
