OK, the cherry blossoms are already mostly over at Easter in this remarkably early Spring. But there were still plenty of trees in bloom, or with the first tender green leaves just appearing, as I walked out with my camera a few days ago at sunset …

I’ve learned the hard way to carry my camera with me at all times, ideally—when I don’t take it with me because it’s too big and cumbersome, more often than not I regret it. A point-and-shoot, which is small enough to carry in a pocket and which these days is good enough for general-purpose photography, would appear to be a good compromise…

Gorgeous images. The lighting you’ve captured is exquisite. Especially the white blossoms. Here for a short time, easy to miss – so thanks for posting these. We are very busy now with a house move. It’s good to stop a smell the e-blossoms.

Some of the trees really do have a wonderful scent, in which you are simply enveloped when you step under the tree…
Here for a short time… yes… the Japanese cherries and many other early-blossoming fruit trees around here are already done with blossom and are almost entirely green now—of course, still that lovely fresh yellow-green!
