He was originally from (the former) Czechoslovakia and lived in the U.K. and California before settling down in New York. Oh, that is wonderful. Thank you for sharing this photo with us. I had cats walk into my home and stay for most of my life. Then I had a dog … and the cats now are visitors rather than becoming ‘mine’.

I’m sorry to hear about Sergei’s demise. It’s always sad when one of our furry friends disappears, isn’t it. Lovely cat, Vlad. Such a pale orange and that white belly, like a creamsicle. And what a gaze. Our own dear felines brother & sister, died last year w/i weeks of each other. The dog soldiers on.

A staple of kayaking photography is the dog in the kayak, coming along for the ride. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that with a cat, however… probably too difficult to get the cat to sit still…

Sorry that Sergei is no longer with you, but He is constantly with you in your heart. Animals are always a part of the family. They love you as much or even more than you know. Nice pick of Mine!!! ;)

That is a topic of conversation. One of us (albeit a dyed-in-the-wool cat lover) is allergic. This complicates the cat question….

He had a mean disposition. He would beat up on the other kitten we adopted, preventing it from eating or drinking (it died in a matter of weeks). He would attack everyone at any given moment. Later he sliced my mom’s leg so bad she put him to sleep because she didn’t trust him. That kind of bad :-(

Awwww …. my cat looks just like him. OMG … mine is fluffier. He is 23 1/2 years old. I know – no cat should live that long but he has. I see him everyday and learn more and more about aging. It isn’t pretty but he is teaching me about what is to come. i feel sad, now. My Marshmellow will soon meet your Sergei. ~~~~~~~ : -(

Nice pictue! We had a cat Garfield really smart but liked to attack kid’s Don’t know why ,I had to keep him tied up,we hid him from animal control and he went to a farm!
