This week’s Photo Challenge is Room.
I wonder what it’s like to always be inside your room, to carry it with you everywhere you go—
—or does your room become so much a part of you that it no longer stands between you and the world around?
(Florida fighting conch: more photos are here.)
This is in fact a real question in philosophy (Heidegger comes to mind), neuroscience and neuroethology (mind-body relations, motor learning, tool use), artificial intelligence… see for instance here.
Love it

Such a creative take on the challenge. I love it. Forget Heiddeger, any woman with a womb can tell you about portable rooms and how it feels lugging them around with tenant for months at a time. :)

The tenant loves it, though—no wonder he or she doesn’t want to leave… ;-)

Excellent choise for the theme Vladimir. Have you ever felt like being in your own room while travelling?
LikeLike
Well, to kayak effectively, you shouldn’t just sit in the kayak, but rather it should become an extension of you :-)

Perfect entry – I wonder if those conches ever feel uncomfortable in their shells like we do sometimes in our skin or complain to themselves that they are too tight, too small, not colourful enough or that their neighbour’s is bigger…
LikeLike
Well, hermit crabs, at least, have a solution to that problem—get a bigger and better shell :-)

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say I doubt anyone else will come up with this interpretation for the challenge ;) Nicely done!

Probably not quite this—although one or two other bloggers are showing hermit crabs or other shelled creatures…
