He was originally from (the former) Czechoslovakia and lived in the U.K. and California before settling down in New York. Too bad we didn’t get a photo of the crab who traveled home in my kayak from Sandy Hook last night! He was cute (except when he was wriggling around in the cockpit, which wasn’t EXACTLY endearing…)

You and their mothers are probably equally fond. :)I agree with you they are beautiful, but I am not sure I would want to get up close and personal with any of them. Mind you, the same would apply to tigers.

The conch was my initial thought for this challenge, but then I didn’t want it to feel alone :-)

Yes, that conch gets around. It couldn’t resist using it again for this challenge, but then thought to disguise it by adding two other endearing invertebrates :-)

Unfortunately true. But on this beach (St. Pete Beach), unusually, people were very aware of them, and even pointed out to us that they were protected and we shouldn’t disturb them :-)
