... kayaked the waters around New York for more than 15 years in his red Feathercraft folding kayak. He was originally from (the former) Czechoslovakia and lived in the U.K. and California before settling down in New York. He was a neuroscientist at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. He died in 2016.Johna Till Johnson
... is a kayaker and technology researcher at Nemertes Research. She's an erstwhile engineer, particle physicist, and science fiction writer. She was born in California and has lived in Italy, Norway, Hawaii, and a few other places. She currently resides in New York City.Recent Comments

You know, I was going to quote Seasons of mist and mellow fruitfulness, or another line… but I couldn’t quite find the line that would fit the photos exactly… :-)

Canoe & Communications found a lovely quote ‘…the year’s last, loveliest smile…’ which sort of fits better than Keats but..your pictures conjured up the entire season for me…colourful leaves, conkers, apples, mist, fog, the smog of my youth, sharp frosty smells, bonfire night, baked potatoes, treacle toffee, parkin….then my birthday..

Those are lovely images of Autumn, Pamela. We don’t have too many of them here in NYC, unfortunately. But we do know it’s Autumn when the New York Marathon rolls around… :-)
