... kayaked the waters around New York for more than 15 years in his red Feathercraft folding kayak. He was originally from (the former) Czechoslovakia and lived in the U.K. and California before settling down in New York. He was a neuroscientist at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. He died in 2016.Johna Till Johnson
... is a kayaker and technology researcher at Nemertes Research. She's an erstwhile engineer, particle physicist, and science fiction writer. She was born in California and has lived in Italy, Norway, Hawaii, and a few other places. She currently resides in New York City.Recent Comments

We got the goose from Citarella. They have goose, and all kinds of exotic game, on hand—you don’t even have to order it :-)

How very interesting! I didn’t know they sold goose and other exotic game. Citarella briefly had a location (a very small one) in Harlem but things didn’t work out and they closed shop. I’m familiar with the location in the 70s. Thanks for the headsup. :-)

They are doing well now—three stores in Manhattan and three stores in the Hamptons. I used to go to their store at 75th & Broadway (when it was their only store), but now I go to their East Side store at 75th and 3rd Avenue.
