Another oldie but goodie… The red leaf conforms to the Rule of Thirds, and there is some colorful bokeh in the background—as requested by this week’s Photo Challenge, Rule of Thirds.
Vladimir Brezina (RIP)
... kayaked the waters around New York for more than 15 years in his red Feathercraft folding kayak. He was originally from (the former) Czechoslovakia and lived in the U.K. and California before settling down in New York. He was a neuroscientist at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. He died in 2016.
Johna Till Johnson
... is a kayaker and technology researcher at Nemertes Research. She's an erstwhile engineer, particle physicist, and science fiction writer. She was born in California and has lived in Italy, Norway, Hawaii, and a few other places. She currently resides in New York City.

Actually, I don’t usually follow it—this was one of my few examples where I did, at least when editing the photo…

LOL I tend to follow it editing, too. Usually I try to center and focus when I shoot something. My camera won’t focus on anything not right in the middle because I use my iPhone.

Yes, I like to shoot into the light, especially in the late afternoon… it highlights specific shapes and colors so well…
