Those Greek Galley’s were reputedly quite lethal in battles at sea. But I suspect the Vikings were more dangerous once they’d waded ashore – Eric bloodaxe and all that! As for the modern ‘intimidation’… There’s no axes involved but it will still get your liver ;-)
