A sweltering Sunday evening calls for a walk in the park…
After a brief cloudburst, the sun emerges from the clouds, lighting up the flowers…
And setting the raindrops on the leaves to sparkling…
The skies darken..
The lights come on, reminding me of an iconic children’s story…
… And the last of the light catches the retreating thunderheads.
Lovely to see your post just now, and beautiful photos, too! Hope you got some relief from the heat. One more day… 🤞

Thank you! And I don’t mind the heat much. AC during the day, and in the morning and evening… well, it’s late July. It’s SUPPOSED to feel that way!

Hi Pamela,
Sorry for the long delay. I aim to be back up and running on a regular schedule shortly… the good news is that I’ve been spending so much time actually paddling. The bad news is I’ve got a years backlog of stories to tell!
Glad you love the pictures! I’m surprising myself at times…

It’s been a while, but with any luck it won’t be so long in between posts going forward…

It’s been so, so long since I’ve seen Central Park – 8 years? Anyway, this is delightful. I’m sorry it’s been so hot, and hope your power stayed on, and stays on! I thought of you recently when i finally had my first taste of Kayaking. We did a brief 1.5 hr tour at Deception Pass State Park on Fidalgo island, a few minutes from where I live now, and though the water was unusually choppy, it was great. Renewed admiration for your strength!! :-)
