Like James Stewart in Rear Window, I’ve been trapped at home for some days by an inconvenient but (hopefully) temporary ailment. And there is the rear window, and I, too, have my camera! But whereas peering into two or three neighbors’ windows might have its fascination, it pales when the windows number in the thousands…
But looking out at the river never pales.
Day 1, sunrise
Day 2, sunrise
Day 3, sunset
You’ve made the (very) best of a bad situation. Get well. Soon!

Great shots. Your window faces my “neck of the woods” in Astoria, where the Hellgate and Triboro bridges span the East River. I hope you are on the mend.

Lucky you, Cate! Astoria is awesome–some of the BEST restaurants in NYC, and semi-affordable housing. Not to mention the views and the neighborhoods.
Okay, I’ll shut up now–don’t want your secret to be discovered! :-)

great shots – and I like the sunrises more than the sunsets – but all good and make me wish I was there – but planning a trip soon. and best wishes on getting well quickly.

I’m with you on the sunrises, prior! But Vlad likes them both, I think… and they certainly have been spectacular this week.

How odd! My comment was meant to appear here. Am I living life on the wrong page?
Lovely shots – the last sunrise really sets me aglow – and I did try not to look for the doggie in the basket.
Get well soon…..
