This week’s Photo Challenge is Let There Be Light! Our first response was here, but here’s another, quite different take on the theme…
Little pools of light in the gathering darkness… The lamps come on in NYC’s Central Park on a snowy night.
February 8, 2013. More photos are here. And yet a third interpretation of “Let There Be Light!” is here.

Lovely cold winter images, the difference between the white snow and the blue snow. Its very difficult to shoot snow in shadow, hence the blue tint, to get rid of the that up your exposer on the camera around to click and you should see a difference. :-) Here is mine http://wp.me/p39nN5-4m

But I like the blue tint… ;-)
And I do like yours too—very dramatic lighting! Thanks, Pete!!

Part I was really oustatnding, but the fine bluish light is gorgeous too.

Even though, as Pete pointed out above, it’s a bit—not entirely!—artificial…

I can hear the quiet. That’s what I love about snow, it’s quiet. Kat described it perfectly, Narnia-esque.

So are we in NYC! (We already had, technically, the first snow, but it was just a dusting that soon melted, and anyway we were out of town that day…)
