This week’s Photo Challenge is A Day in My Life.
Last Saturday, toward evening, I took a walk through NYC’s Central Park.
First I visited our patch of ground. And on that patch, which we had picked for being so unremarkable, a crop of colorful crocuses had sprung up…

I´ve only walked through Central Park once – on a cold clear day in December a few years ago. It was delightful to see people skating on the outdoor rinks and for the peaceful atmosphere in the middle of the bustling city.
Lovely photos, Vladimir – how precious are those crocus flowers? :)

Peaceful—but also bustling with activity on the first warm weekend in spring, when everyone comes out… Any day now! ;-)

Wow! you have captured the most beautiful corners and time of Central Park! i was there a few times but never realized it is so beautiful. Did your camera make it beautiful or the photographer did it? it is really amazing. Thanks for sharing.

Haven’t been to Central Park in a long time. Have to go soon. I like going to the Boathouse restaurant.

We are very fortunate to live close to the park, so we don’t have to make too much of an effort to visit. But if an effort is needed, it’s richly rewarded!

Great pictures, but where’s Johna and her big smile?
I loved them all, but the runner in silhouette against the blue sky was my favorite (fourth down, right side).

I was in the city last week and was amazed that the crocuses were popping up despite what felt very cold to me! Was sad I was a bit early for the true blooming of Central Park – one of my favorite things! Loved your sunset shots.

Yes, spring this year is delayed by two or three weeks, at least, relative to last year—but then last year spring arrived unusually early… This year, it will take another couple of weeks for the cherry trees to bloom, which for me is the height of the spring show…

No sign of tulips here yet—it’s a pretty cold and late spring so far…

Dusk in MAnhattan … showcases the entrance to the subway real well. All the photos are fanastic but that one reminds me of the many subway rides I had to take to Manhattan from Brooklyn. Thanks for the memories …

Very nice walking around photos — I love them and this kind of photography — Good take on life in Manhattan. (Central Park has oodles of bird species — a birders paradise I’ve read)

Yes, I think it’s true about the birds—there are certainly plenty of birders about in Central Park, even if the birds themselves are more discreet ;-) Thanks, Frank!
