This was in the Fall, and the river was still pretty warm. So unfortunately the beer wasn’t all that cold—but it was still cooler than it would have been without the cooler!
Our main problem was the keep it submerged but at the same time to stop it floating away in the current. Hence the concrete block, which we found conveniently at hand on the island…
