This week’s Photo Challenge is Saturated.
This theme is hard for me, paradoxically, because I like saturated color. So many of my photos would be right for this challenge. An embarrassment of riches.
But several photos come to mind that almost embody saturated color. How about this one?
very nice!

I enjoy oil painting and have learned to subjugate color to composition. This photo tells me you learned the same lesson. I love the colors, but I know if this were in black and white the graceful lines would still make a beautiful photo. That said, I’m still a fan of color. The lines gently directed my eye all the way back to the softly muted distance.

Well, here is a version in black and white:
You are right, the composition still works. But, like you, I much prefer the color version—this photo is all about color! :-)

But not yet! In NYC we still have a few weeks of something that, while it isn’t really summer any more, isn’t yet fall either…

Good choice as we are soon going to see many of these colours in our trees.

Beautiful in its simplicity. I’ve always loved the colors of fall. It’s one thing I miss by living in Hawaii.

I missed them when I lived in Southern California. Although there were other compensations…

Yes, this one was too easy and I also popped immediately to Autumn color. But there are so many kinds of saturated colors. Think the whiteness of winter, the total counterpoint to every other season. Love you photograph, of course. I always do.

I agree, and I do have some nice pristine white photos. But it seems a bit depressing to think of winter when fall has only just begun…

Fall foliage is full of saturation. It’s like nature’s last effort to amaze us before it goes to sleep for the winter.

Great choice, especially how it prompts the eye to move back and forth from foreground to background to slurp up all that rich color.

I think we’re all in the same boat with this topic! (hahaha just realized my pun!) I’ve noticed many bloggers have already done more than one “saturated” post…and it’s only Sunday!!
I love your leaf but also think the background shows saturation, just as well! I think you chose a perfect shot!
