Pictures of Fifth Avenue Spring are beautiful postcards, Vladimir; but, that first one, in winter, is a great photo, I like it a lot!

Yes, it’s the superposition of the blossoms on the stone that makes spring here so lovely…

But you mustn’t procrastinate—the fruit trees blossom for just a few days, and after that all the green leaves sprout and before you know it, it’s lush summer…

Such beautiful blossoms. The scent must be heavenly.

Some scent, but actually not all that strong. It’s mostly a visual experience. They must have picked scent-deficient trees so as not to intoxicate New Yorkers… :-)

As Johna says above, don’t tempt fate—there have been snowstorms in May… but it sure looks that way! :-)

There was a snowstorm here in Missouri last May that cancelled a baseball game by the Kansas City Royals. Hopefully, that won’t be repeated this year. We didn’t do too badly with snow this year, but the cold was abysmal.

A couple of autumns ago we were in the city and I strolled through Central Park, photographing the buildings and foliage along the Ave as I walked. It is one of my favorite walks in the city, and always results in fine photos. Thanks for the memories!

Fruit trees of various kinds. There’s a week in April—now almost over—when they all bloom simultaneously, so some of the streets are absolutely swathed in white. After a week it’s all over…
