Beautiful studies ! Milkweed ovum and fluff make for great fire tinder if ever you have the cause to start a fire to cook or warm up :) …

I am almost sure that there’s a law against starting fires in Central Park ;-)
Great idea, though. Maybe we’ll bring some with us on our next kayaking expedition!

They are very beautiful. There’s a patch of them in Central Park that we always visit at this time of the year. This year we were at first dismayed to find that it was surrounded by a 6-foot construction fence. But we found a gap to get through to them :-)

What a wonderful way to end the year! It’s nice to see what’s still there to photograph as winter settles in.

There’s always something to photograph! :-) But this time of the year everything is monochromatic—that’s why the red colors of the berries and remaining leaves really stood out….

I pretty much stumbled across those lines from the poem, quoted in another blog, and they seemed very appropriate. Otherwise Christabel is about something completely different :-)

Inspiring photos…I passed milkweed pods every day of my morning walk in late autumn and never stopped to photograph them! You remind us that there is beauty in every corner of the world, if we pause to notice. Thank you :)
