  2. Wonderful pictures! I never would have guessed some of those were here in the states. Still trying to figure out what the photo is of the one in Athen’s N.Y. Mill? Floaty structures? Interesting pictures!

  8. Mother nature sure knows how to rule!! Great photos. What are the birds in the last photo? Falcons of some sort? Beautiful!

    • Ospreys. They used to be rare around here, but have rebounded. People put up many osprey nesting platforms, and most of them are occupied—as are tall structures such as lights and navigation aids, such as this one, in the harbor :-)
