... kayaked the waters around New York for more than 15 years in his red Feathercraft folding kayak. He was originally from (the former) Czechoslovakia and lived in the U.K. and California before settling down in New York. He was a neuroscientist at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. He died in 2016.Johna Till Johnson
... is a kayaker and technology researcher at Nemertes Research. She's an erstwhile engineer, particle physicist, and science fiction writer. She was born in California and has lived in Italy, Norway, Hawaii, and a few other places. She currently resides in New York City.Recent Comments

These were, however, wild no longer. These are photos from the Central Park Zoo, where Gus the polar bear had lived for many years (I don’t know about the snow leopard), and died soon after this photo was taken…

Actually, I am not sure they do, exactly. Frédéric’s intent was to have two (or more) photos talk to each other in terms of their visual, even abstract, qualities. But I am sure he realized that many people would instead post photos, even a single photo, that showed dialogue instead of engaging in dialogue, as indeed they did. I tried to steer a bit of a middle course… :-)
